William "Bill" Allan McNeil was born March 5, 1911 in Coalsnaughton, Clackmannanshire, Scotland. After the death of his father in 1931 and during the depression in Great Britain, he worked as a pharmacist's apprentice in Scotland. There, he participated in Scottish Men's evangelical organization known as The Tract Band. He also sang tenor in a Scottish Male Voice Choir.
In 1934, he met his wife, Janet Knox Queen. They were married in 1944. In 1945, their only daughter, Agnes, was born. Through the years, he was in different ministries of the Word. He visited the United States in 1953, again in 1957, and came to the US to live around 1960.
From 1960 to 1998, Mr. McNeil was instrumental in the Lord's work in and around Raleigh, North Carolina. He labored for 30 years in radio and weekly Bible classes. He preached at the Raleigh Rescue Mission for many years and at many of the assemblies in the Piedmont area as well as other Atlantic coast states.
In 1998, Mr. and Mrs. McNeil moved to the Park of the Palms Christian Retirement Village in Keystone Heights Florida. On February 9, 2001, Mr. McNeil went to the post office and bank and was involved in an auto accident which resulted in his Home Going to the Lord whom he had faithfully served.
