Frank Parker was raised in a ‘religious’ family that faithfully attended (mainline) churches every Sunday – but nobody ever explained the Gospel to him. Many years later, in 1975, seeking for spiritual truth, he and his wife Dianne came to a saving knowledge of Christ while visiting a ‘radical’ (or so it seemed to them at the time’) independent evangelical church in Victoria, British Columbia. Being in the military, they traveled all over Canada and overseas, but always sought out a local assembly in which to serve, and raise their family. Frank retired from the Canadian Army in 1999 after a 30 year career, and was commended to full-time work by Bethel Gospel Chapel (Edmonton, Alberta). He continues to serve in the ‘the Lord’s Army’.
